Whistler Lodging

Wake up in Canada's Outdoor Recreation Capital!

Despite failing to win the Olympic bid in 1968, construction of the Whistler Resort ensued and opened in January 1966. Fourteen years later the Blackcomb resort opened nextdoor, kicking off years of rivalry as the two mountains raced with upgrades unmatched by any other North American resort. Finally a buyout would result in the merge of Whistler Blackcomb in 2003, leading to the the win of the 2010 Winter Olympic bid and the record breaking Peak-to-Peak Gondola connecting the two mountain tops.

From either mountain we can access the Whistler Backcountry of Garibaldi Park, encompassing the Spearhead and Fitzsimmons ranges, finding some of the finest ski touring in the Coast mountain Range. For this reason, we recommend spending your ultimate winter vacation based in the Whistler Village. Located right at the base of the resort lifts, the lively pedestrian hub hosts a number of hotels, restaurants, shops, and entertainment; everything you need within a stone's throw from your front steps.
