Our Crevasse Rescue provides the fundamental skills for any aspiring mountaineer or backcountry skier.  The course covers how to execute a quick crevasse rescue and some variations based on conditions.

This course will focus on the techniques required to perform crevasse rescue in various scenarios. We will also review how crevasses are formed and best practices to avoid them all together.

 

This is an introductory course and although there will be less than an hour of hiking, it will be a full day of standing.

8 am-9 am: Meet at the Squamish Adventure Centre

9 am-4 pm: Practice Crevasse Rescue and Rope Skills
